About The Founder
Founder and Creator of KREATIVE Mission LLC, Amber Jenkins, a Cleveland, Ohio native, has shared equal time between her hometown and Atlanta, GA. Amber is an Author, Poet, DJ, Motivational Speaker, and most known as a Master Barber. Over the course of her careers as a barber (MsTaper) and Disc Jockey, (DJ AKutz), she has been most known by her blending techniques, both behind the chair and in the booth. Through various “networking events” held in your everyday barbershops, and her attendance of multiple artist listening parties, Amber has been associated with various celebrities, spanning from 2014 to present day. In 2017, Amber packed her bags with a leap of faith in her heart, and moved cross-country to Los Angeles, CA to pursue becoming a personal barber to the stars; but became much more in the process.
The Journey.
After receiving an Associates of Arts, and a Certificate of completion for barbering, Amber went back to school shortly after to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Business, with a focus on Women in Leadership. One year shy of receiving her second degree, Amber believed it was best to focus on her passion of barbering, and left school during the middle of her junior year. She received her official Barber’s license shortly after.. After being in the barber field nearly 10 years, in January 2019, Amber developed the KREATIVE Mission brand. Its emergence began by creating animations to several poems she’d written. The poems depict what the brand stands for; thinking outside of the box and being comfortable with who you are and who you were created to be. Through the KREATIVE MISSION brand, Amber has developed several projects such as KREATIVE Mission Clothing, the Born to be Different book series, and has begun a Podcast/YouTube series called “Kutz & Konversations” where she performs haircuts and talks about various male-female subjects with her clients.
